The Industrial Committee will develop a series of invited mini-symposia, lectures, short courses, panel discussions, and other events that will be an integral part of the Congress. This program will complement and supplement the core scientific activities at the Congress, serving not only to attract participants from industry but also to engage significant numbers of academic participants that either work in industrial mathematics or wish to know more.

The mandate of the satellite and embedded meetintgs committee is to 1) promote the opportunity to run satellite meetings around ICIAM 2011; 2) identify potential meetings and organizations to contact for potential satellite/embedded meetings; 3) liaise with organizers of proposed and planned satellite meetings as well as north american math institutes and professional societies; 4) ensure cross-promotion of both ICIAM 2011 and satellite meetings and; 5) liaise with the ICIAM 2011 steering committee.
