Online registration for ICIAM 2011 is now closed. You will be able to register onsite at the Congress.

Registering for ICIAM 2011 entitles you to participate in all scientific sessions, including :

  • 27 international invited speakers who will collectively present an unparalleled snapshot of industrial and applied mathematics in the 21st century
  • Prize lectures, public lectures and outreach activities
  • More than 650 contributed, thematic and industrial minisymposia
  • A poster session displaying over 250 research posters

The Welcome Reception (July 17), Opening Ceremonies (July 18), Jerrold Marsden Reception (July 20), Closing Ceremonies (July 22) and coffee breaks throughout the Congress are included in the registration fees.

Tickets are required to attend the following social activities:

  • Student Networking Lunch (July 18), organized exclusively for students. For a small fee, you will receive lunch, networking tips from professional facilitators, a handy booklet to keep, and chance to win door prizes. However, the most valuable part of this session is the chance to meet students from around the world in a casual and fun environment.
  • The CAIMS, Mitacs, Mprime, SIAM Awards Lunch (July 21). Celebrate with prize winners from each of these organizations.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE EARLY BIRD RATE, PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 28, 2011.

*A postdoc is defined as a person with a PhD degree, not currently employed or in a faculty position, but working at a university in a research capacity, under the direction of a faculty supervisor

Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that cancellations are sometimes necessary. Delegates may receive a refund less 25% processing fee for cancellation requests made by February 28, 2011. Cancellations from March 1 to June 1, 2011 will be subject to a 50% processing fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations after June 1, 2011.

Housing
ICIAM has negotiated competitive rates for their delegates at many hotels and hostels in close proximity to the Vancouver Convention Centre. Rates range from $35 - $239. Accommodation reserved outside the Official Congress hotel room blocks exposes the ICIAM 2011 Congress to financial penalties. Your loyalty and cooperation is greatly appreciated! Tours and Excursions
We have organized a series of excursions exclusive to ICIAM Congress delegates and their guests. Tour buses pick up and drop off participants at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Tours can be booked online or on-site at the Congress. A complete list of tours is available here.

Limited travel subsidies are available to young US researchers, Canadian mathematical sciences students, and delegates travelling from developing nations. Details here.
